Itinerary Details

Welcome to your 'Sikkim Delight Deluxe' tour! On arrival at the airport in Bagdogra/railway station in New Jalpaiguri, You will be met and transferred to your hotel in Pemayangtse (Pelling).
The rest of the day is at leisure for independent activities.

Today proceed on a half day sightseeing tour of Pelling, visiting Rimbi Falls, Kanchenjunga Falls and Khecheopalri - the wishing lake.
The Rimbi Waterfalls is a picturesque picnic and tourist spot located about 17 km from Pelling. The Rimbi Waterfalls lies in close proximity to one of Sikkim's oldest hydro power stations and the Sewaro Rock Garden.
The Kanchenjunga falls are famous for their beauty and fierceness. These falls are rare in west Sikkim and are truly a wondrous natural discovery.
Khecheopalri Lake, located at a height of 1950m, is believed to be in the shape of the footprint of goddess Tara. This natural reservoir is a sacred lake to the Buddhists.

Today, proceed on a picturesque drive to Gangtok. En route visit Ravangla a small tourist town in southern Sikkim. On arrival in Gangtok, check-in to your hotel.

Early in the morning, depart for a half-day excursion to Tsomgo Lake / Tsangu Lake.
It is very rare that one gets to see a lake that was formed from a glacier. The Tsangu Lake is close to the Nathu la pass between India and China. The lake is surrounded by coniferous trees that are perennial in nature. Due to its finely developed ecosystem, the lake serves as a stopover for migratory birds in the winter. The lake is considered holy and is worshipped by the locals.
Note: One has to obtain a permit directly in Gangtok to visit Tsomgo Lake / Tsangu Lake.

Today, you will drive to Lachung. En route enjoy a stopover at Tashi View Point.
The Tashi View Point is a once in a lifetime experience that will stay with you forever. The peaks are enveloped with snow all year round. The sunrise here is a mesmerizing view that is unparalleled and unforgettable. On arrival at Lachung, you will check-in to your hotel.

Early in the morning, proceed on an excursion to Yumthang Valley located at an altitude of 12000 feet.
A vast expanse of rugged mountain terrain that has been mellowed down by the beauty of thousands of flowers that sway gracefully here in the wind of the valley is the Yumthang Valley. Literally called the valley of flowers, the valley itself is situated between the Eastern Himalayan ranges and is at the height of 11800 m above sea level.
En route visit the Hot Springs situated on the River Rangit. The hot water springs in Sikkim are well known as springs which are medicinal in nature. Also, visit Rhododendron Sanctuary renowned for its variety of plants. Truly a sanctuary for plants, the Rhododendron trees here are preserved and cared for.

This morning, return to Gangtok. On arrival, you will check-in to your hotel.

This morning, proceed on a city tour visiting Do Drul Chorten. Built by the revered Trulshi Rimpoche, who served as the head of the Nyingma order of the Tibetan Buddhism, the chorten, is a Buddhist shrine, typically a saint's tomb or a monument to the Buddha. Inside the stupa, there are complete mandala sets of Dorjee Phurba (Bajra Kilaya), a set of Kan-gyur relics (Holy Books), complete 'Zung'(mantras) and other religious objects. Around this Chorten, are 10 Mani-Lhakor (prayer wheels).
Also, visit Rumtek monastery. Built by Rangjung Doje, the 16th Karampa Lama in 1959 after he fled Tibet, the Rumtek Monastery functioned as his home in exile. The flowing streams of water, Snow capped mountains, the proximity of the river and the silence of the valley give the monastery a tranquil and peaceful environment.
