This morning, drive to Sanchi. Sanchi is a Buddhist site located in the Raisen district of Madhya Pradesh in India. It is famous for the Great Stupa of Sanchi, a monument built by emperor Ashoka the Great in the 3rd century BC.

Post breakfast, proceed to Pachmarhi, a lovely hill station with beautiful forests, breathtaking waterfalls and serene pools.
En route, visit Bhojpur and Bhimbetka Caves -a UNESCO World Heritage site.
Bhojpur Temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva housing one of the largest linga's in India. This 11th century temple, consist of the inner cella and was founded by the Parmar king of Dhar. The structure of the temple displays one of the finest examples of the 12th century architecture boasting sharp edges and richly carved figures.
Bhimbetka or Bhimbaithaka are prehistoric rock shelters situated about 45 kms from Bhopal. The caves extend up to 10 kms in length and about 3 km in width and have more than 700 rock shelters. The paintings in the Bhimbetka caves belonging to the Neolithic age depict the life of the pre-historic cave dwellers. The oldest paintings found in the caves are estimated to be 30,000 years old.

This morning, proceed on a sightseeing tour of Pachmarhi visiting places such as Jata Shankar, Pandav Caves, Fairy Pool and Dhupgarh Point.
Jatashankar, is a natural cave and a Hindu shrine located north of Pachmarhi. Jata means hair and Shankar is another name of Lord Shiva. The Jatashankear cave is located in deep ravine, with enormous boulders perched above. The cave contains stalagmites revered as naturally formed lingams and hence, it serves as a shrine of Lord Shiva and is a popular destination for pilgrims.
Dhoopgarh initially called the Harvatsa Kot is the highest point in the Satpura range, with a magnificent view of the surrounding ranges.
Located on a small hillock, Pandav caves in Pachmarhi are believed to have been a shelter point of the Pandavas during their period of exile. Now a protected monument, Pandav caves have been carved out of a low hummock. These five caves also became a refuge to Buddhist monks in 1st century.
Fairy pool also known as Apsara Vihar is a beautiful fall in the hills of Pachmarhi . A naturally formed pool with tiny waterfalls, the Apsara Vihar is situated near to Pandava Caves. It is a shallow pool which makes it a perfect for a nice swim and is a popular picnic spot.

After breakfast, proceed to Jabalpur. The city of Jabalpur was a hub of important economic activities during the British period. It still maintains several colonial buildings of the era.
In the afternoon, visit Bhedaghat - a town in Jabalpur district famous for its waterfalls and marble cliffs. It is situated on the banks of river Narmada. Its most famous sights are the Dhuandhar Falls, Marble Rocks, and the Chaunsath Yogini temple.
